OFA principals, Alberto Otero and Michele Paradiso, come from diverse industry and financial backgrounds. Their personal and professional stories paint the picture of how they are uniquely qualified to serve clients.
Otero was Managing Director of Manaplas, where he ran operations for a large corporation that sourced, manufactured, marketed, sold, and serviced home products internationally. His experience as a user of financial services along with his financial education and experience prompted him to create something better. Of Spanish descent, Otero was born in Venezuela, where he received his undergraduate degree. He later received a post graduate degree from the United States. He is a proud citizen of the United States, Spain, and Venezuela. He is fluent in Spanish and English. He lives in Miami where he enjoys boating, cycling but most importantly, spending time with his family.
Paradiso spent his career in several international financial services firms where he rose through organizations gaining insight and experience in helping clients achieve financial goals. High-level professional experiences prepared him for full profit center management including risk assessment, product development, human resource management, and meeting and exceeding financial objectives. His experience with investment products, principles of financial analysis, and international tax and regulatory laws position him to provide comprehensive and sound advice to clients. Born in Venezuela, Paradiso is an Italian and Venezuelan citizen and a United States Resident Alien. He is fluent in Spanish, Italian, English, and French. Paradiso’s academic and professional degrees, licenses, and affiliations are many. He lives in Miami and spends free time cycling, playing tennis, boating, and enjoying barbecues with family and friends.
Otero and Paradiso joined forces over ten years ago to create a boutique investment and advisory services firm to meet the special needs of individuals and companies ready to take their investing activities to the next level. Currently serving clients in Spain, Colombia, Venezuela, and the United States, Oceanis has assets under management of $195 million dollars.
